Range in New England


In New England, the Fox Sparrow breeds in far northwestern Maine.

This sparrow is seen in migration throughout the region.

This bird is found wintering in most of Massachusetts, in Connecticut, in Rhode Island, in southern New Hampshire, and along the coast of Maine. Additional local winter sightings can be seen on the eBird map below.
