Range in New England


The Northern Rough-winged Swallow is found breeding throughout New England with the exception of northern Maine.

This swallow is more abundant in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island than in the northern portion of the region.

This bird winters mainly in southern California, southern Texas, southern Florida, along the Gulf Coast, and in parts of Mexico and Central America.
