Range in New England

The New England cottontail is found in small numbers in parts of southern Maine, in two areas in Connecticut (one in the western third and one in the southeastern portion), and in southern Rhode Island.

In New England, this cottontail is also found in a very small area of southern New Hampshire, as well as two small areas in Massachusetts (one in southwestern MA and the other in far eastern MA).
