Range in New England

In New England, the Gray Partridge is found only in the northern portion of the Champlain Valley (in the far northwestern corner of Vermont).

This game bird, native to Eurasia, was introduced in some local areas in the United States, possibly as early as the late 1700's. Its primary range is now the northern plains, where it is common.
