Range in New England


In New England, the Wilson's Snipe breeds in Maine, all but southernmost New Hampshire and all but southernmost Vermont.

The Wilson's Snipe is found wintering along the coasts of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. There have also been some winter sightings along the coast of New Hampshire and southern Maine, as well as very locally in inland areas of New England.

This bird is seen only in migration in the rest of the region.
